Extensions, how do they work and why are they for you?

There are three different types of extension:

Micro Rings - Micro rings are small copper metal rings that hair extensions are threaded through, along with some of your own hair. Once they have been positioned correctly the micro rings are clamped into place, securing the hair extensions to your hair.

Nano Rings - Nano rings (like micro rings) are made from copper. The essential difference is that nano rings are 90% smaller than regular hair extensions application rings. Typically they are around the size of a ballpoint pen nib.

Though the common use for extensions are to add length to you hair they can also be used in other ways. Some people choose extensions the same length as their hair and just use then to add a bit of volume to the hair.

Other uses are to avoid colour damage by using extensions to add highlights or more dimension to the hair.
